Biographical note
Donald Wendell Calhoun was born in 1918. During World War II, he held conscientious objector status. He received his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Georgia, and his Master of Theology from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Chicago. Elizabeth Calhoun was an nurse. From 1951 to 1956, they served as missionaries in Ethiopia. Back in the United States, Donald received a Masters of Education and served as a school psychologist. Donald died in 2012.
