Kevin Cragg papers, 1980-2013
Scope and Contents
Most of this collection has to do with the courses Christianity in Western Culture, some taught by Cragg. Materials include readings, syllabi, and course planning documents. The Spectrum file is an evaluation of the course via the Spectrum program. Cragg was also a member of the Nursing Degree Completion Committee, material from which is located in the Nursing Mobilist Degree Completion file. The Bethel Profile 2004 mantains data comparing Bethel faculty, students, and academic programs over six years.

Biographical / Historical
Kevin Cragg was born in 1945 in Minnesota. He attended Wheaton College, graduating in 1967, where he met his wife Carole. He completed his master's degree at the University of Chicago. They moved to Montana, where Cragg taught social studies at the Blackfoot Indian Reservation. He later recieved his doctorate in ancient history at the University of Michigan. He taught college courses at Trinity College in Illinois. In 1980, Cragg began work at Bethel as a professor in the Hisotry Department. Carole also worked at Bethel as a librarian. Kevin helped to develop the courses Christianity and Western Culture in 1985, along with Neil Lettinga, Mike Holmes, and Dan Taylor. He also started the environmental history class History and the Human Environment. Cragg retired from Bethel in 2013. After struggling with Parkinson's disease, Cragg died in December 2021.
