Content Description
The Woody Dahlberg papers span seven boxes and date primarily the 1980s to the 2000s.
The 2024 Acquisition series was donated to the History Center in Winter 2024. The Job Description folder holds information about the job Director of Media Producation and other programs led by Woody Dahberg. The Master Plan folder dates to 1982 and 1983 holds information on the Public Affairs Committee Mission Statement and a flowchart for printing projects. The Media Production Report folder dates to 1983 to 1986, and contains a Program/Function Evaluation, lists of Media Production Projects, and annual reports on media production. The Reports folder contains a report to the president by James Bragg, Vice President for Public Affairs from 1981. The Marketing at Bethel folder contains a 1983 master plan for Public Relations and Marketing, a proposed marketing/public relations model, and a 1982 proposed public relations fuctional model incorporating a marketing/media position by Dahberg.
The Photographs series holds the proofs, negatives, and slides held in a large black binder and dating primarily to 1999.
The Digital Media series consists of one flash drive and four CDs, mostly containing photographs and mock-ups of marketing materials.
The Take the Next Step CD holds applications for admissions, video promotional interveiws with various faculty, and videos of other Bethel activities, such as athletics, music, and theatre.
The World Class Seminary CDs hold mostly video interviews with Seminary faculty.
The Previous Acquisitions contain some Marketing materials, such as the 2012 Campus Master Plan, Brushaber Commons dedication material, seal design, Campus Ministries Take the Next Step pamphlet, and Bridge brochure templates. The George Brushaber file holds president Christmas cards, "Guarding Mission Guiding Growth: The Transforming Talents and Tenure of George K. Brushaber", and retirement gala materials. The Photographs were primarily taken by Woody Dahlberg during his time as Bethel photographer and cover a variety of subjects. There are proof sheets, photograph prints, negatives, and slides. One folder of proofs dating to February 12, 2008 are also located on a CD held in the folder.
The Hard Drive contains many various digital files backed up from Dahlberg's work computer. There are photographs, videos, drafts of his book Book Persued, floorplans from construction of buildings, Bethel's policy regarding the Patriot Act, budgets, catalogs, and much more.

Biographical note
From 1980 to 2013, Woody Dahberg worked as Director of Visual Communications at Bethel University. He was campus photographer and graphic designer. After retirement, he and his wife Eva served on the Friends of the History Center steering committee, and worked with the Gospel Association of India.

The 2024 Acquisition series maintains original order and is labeled how Dahlberg labeled his files.
The Photographs series maintains the original order of proofs, negatives, and slides as were in its original binder.
the Previous Acquisitions series mostly retains original order, with some collation during processing.
Custodial History
The 2024 Acquisition series was donated to the History Center by Dahlberg in February 2024.
The Photographs series came out of a large black binder given to Kent Gerber by Woody Dahlberg, then transferred to the History Center in 2023.
The Previous Acquisitions series were donated to the History Center at an unknown time.
The Take the Next Step CD, the World Class Seminary CDs, and the Hard Drive were donated in the fall 2024 by Dahlberg.
Existence and Location of Copies
The digital media on a flashdrive and CDs were copied to the Archivist Drive.
Some, but not all, of the Hard Drive files were copied over to the Archivist Drive.
