Scope and Contents
The Trinity Baptist Church of Lincoln, Nebraska collection spans three boxes and covers the years 1964 to 2010.
The church quilt was created in 2004, probably for the church's 40th anniversary. Various church members and families contributed a square to the quilt.

The Conference folder contains materials from the Baptist General Conference and the Great Plains Baptist Conference district.
The Dedication folder dates to 1973, when the church building at 3801 La Salle was dedicated. The folder contains correspondences and service bulletins.
The folder Information for 10th Anniversary comes from a folder with the same title in which the materials were donated. The papers contain information on members who were surveyed for the anniversary program.
The Specifications for the First Unit of the Trinity Baptist, Lincoln, Nebraska, was put together in 1972 by Goertzen and Thiessen Architects. The report details the constuction of the new church building on 39th and La Salle.
The Appraisal Report for Trinity Baptist Church was prepared in 1992 for Kurt Grosshans of Cornhusker Bank by Michael Raasch of Raasch Appraisal and Consulting. The appraisal valued the property at $465,000.
The Building and Property documents folder includes documentation of insurance, mortgage, real estate, and warrenty deeds.
The photographs picture mostly the groundbreaking and construction of the church building, likely during 1972.

Biographical / Historical
Trinity Baptist Church's first service was held March 1, 1964. They met in a house on the Southwest corner 40th and La Salle Streets. The first service at the newly built church building took place on April 15, 1973 at 3801 La Salle Street. The church closed in the period between 2011 and 2017, and the building became First Slavic Baptist.
The pastors who served Trinity were Paul Lundgren (1964-1965), Fred T. Miller (1965-1970), Emery C. Holzworth (1970-1977), A. Dale Stohre (1977-1980), Greg Carlson (1980-1983), Dana Olson (1983-1996), and Dean O'Bryan (1996-2011).

The archivist arranged the collection when it was processed in 2023. The Information for 10th Anniversary folder retains the original order of the donated folder that had the same label.

This collection was probably donated to the History Center after the church closed.
