Scope and Contents

This collection primarily contains various writings originally published in Swedish that Roger Hanson translated into English. The majority of these writings deal with the history of Sweden, religion, and particularly the Swedish Baptists. The first folder also contains some correspondece involving Hanson's translation work.

Biographical Note

Roger Melvin Hanson was born November 3, 1901 in Stanchfield, Minnesota to Andrew Hanson and Hulda Norin. He married Mildred Larson in 1927. He translated many Swedish Baptist works into English, although these manuscripts were never published. He died June 14, 2000 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and is buried in Stanchfield.
