Arrangement

The collection was previously loosely grouped and organized by topics including records broadly relating to the Minnesota Baptist Conference, Missions, and Truett’s father, Maurice. During processing, Archives TA Ellie Heebsh sorted documents further within the previous organization and created sub-series based on the timeline and topics of Maurice and Truett’s ministries.

Custodial History

Truett Lawson, Friend of the History Center, met with Archivist Rebekah Bain and delivered his personal materials to the Archives in May 2025 in 4 bankers boxes, semi-organized with smaller subject-labeled boxes. Archives TA Ellie Heebsh processed the collection in June 2025, organizing the smaller boxes into sub-series, placing loose papers in folders, and storing everything in one acid-free bankers box and one oversized document container.
