Scope and Contents
The Optical Discs collection dates between 1949, as copies from original media, to 2019. It spans 5 cubic feet over 9 boxes.
Quest was a series of debates on religious topics. There are two CDs of these conversations.
The Photos for Display CD holds photos of the Hagstrom painting, John Alexis Edgren, and the old seminary building entrance.
The East Staff photos holds some photographs, possibly from Seminary of the East.
The CAS Admissions CD holds the catalog from 2004, promotional videos, and photographs from study abroad trips.
The World Class Seminary CD holds promotional videos and applications to the school in PDF format.
The Alumni Today CD holds photographs and web files that contain reflections from alumni.
The Farces of Bethel videos were spoofs off of the Faces of Bethel video from the 1970s.
The Seminary Promotional videos date to 2001.
The Bethel Football video shows a game against St. Johns from 2003. It also holds an interview with the coach and players.
The Helix CDs hold recordings of chapels, but are in an unreadable file format.
The Christianity and Western Culture CDs contain mostly audio files recording Stacy Hunter Hecht, Christopher Gehrz, and Sam Mulberry.
The Rosters CDs hold mostly photographs used in the Bethel rosters.
The Yesterday's Dreams and Reflections videos were used at the Annual Meeting in 2002. Yesterday's Dreams is a film on the history of the Baptist General Conference. The Reflections include videos on Carl Lundquist described by Nancy Lundquist, William Turnwall described by Richard Turnwall, and Virgil Olson by Ron Larson.

The New Wineskins Initiative video highlights Bethel Seminary
A Conversation with Six Bethel Deans was a lecture from Virgil Olson from about 2004. It records the history of John Alexis Edgren, Eric Sandell, Carl Lagergren, Gustaf Gordh, Karl Karlson, and Edwin Omark.
The Equality Ride CDs contain audio and video of the discussions surrounding the LGBTQ activists who visited Bethel in 2006.
The Core Values video comes from Bethel's faculty retreat from 2006.
There are some sound recordings and one video of Greg Boyd and Jim Wallis debating the role of faith in politics.
Several Greek language CDs were recorded by James Brooks, originally written by J. Gresham Machen.
The Music series holds audio CDs. The Christmas CD was created by David Skurdahl, alumnus from 1973. John Leon Lewis often led worship for Bethel events, and the My Eternal King CD holds his piano music. The Reveries by Chelsea Chen CD were performed on the Blackinton Organ in Benson Great Hall. The rest of the CDs are of the Bethel Choir, led by Robert Berglund and Dennis Port.
The Festival of Christmas series contains mostly audio CDs of the annual concerts dating from 1995 to 2017.
The Commencement series contains mostly videos of graduation services dating from 2004 to 2015.
The Interreligious Symposium was a series of panels from people of different faiths on various religious topics.
The Dr. Allan Boesak CD holds a compilation of speeches and sermons in honor of the 40th anniversary of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boesak is a theologian and anti-apartheid activist from South Africa.
The website backup CDs contain web files from the early 2000s, which show program major pages, faculty pages, and academic computing pages. The ITS department file is a backup from the network, which contains mostly files of instructions for using technology such as Blackboard and updating faculty computers.
The Homecoming series dates between 1990 to 2010. The discs contain photographs and videos, many of them from class reunions.
There are 33 numbered photograph CDs dating to 1997 to 1998. They are photographs of Bethel, mission trips, San Diego, commencement, concerts, athletics, and campus scenes.
The Bethel Seminary CD dates to 2001. It holds backups of files such as budgets, interviews, minutes, and photographs.
The Annual Report CD holds photographs, dating to 2003.
The Next Step videos CD contains videos dating to 1999. They are video clips of Bethel, interviews, and programs.
The photos from before 2001 CDs holds pictures of Homecoming, events, Festival of Christmas from 2000, the library, Scandia, and other images. Another cntains the images to be used for the 1999 catalog. Another has the 1999 President Christmas Card, construction, the 1999 college handbook, and other images.
The Bethel Photo Archive was put onto the CD in 2002, so the images are from before this year. There are pictures of construction from 1998, the faculty lounge, events, seminary faculty, and other images.
The OneVoice presentation dates to 2004. It holds a presentation on marketing and branding Bethel.
The Bethel Seminary series consists of a case of CDs and DVDs transferred to the archives from the Seminary in 2025. The Faculty Meeting CD contains mostly unreadable files. Most of the DVDs with course material from History courses hold files that will not play without downloading the particular application. The Catching the Wind of the Spirit DVD holds a series of lectures by Dr. Cionca for a class in 2006. The Introduction to Blackboard CD contains audiofiles of instruction for a course management system. The Contextualization of the Gospel CD holds files of handouts and readings for the class. There are several InMinistry CDs that contain advertisement information, website banners, and planning documentation. The Randy Reese CD contains a series of lecture videos. It is unclear what contents are on the Salem CD. The TCS CD may stand for the Transformative Church Series, although it is not confirmed.
The Reuben Dahlquist series contains Bethel musical performances, mostly copies off of original LP recordings.
The Bethel News Archive CD holds web pages of Bethel newsarticles.
The Bethel Timeline graphics CD is from the 125th anniversary of Bethel in 1996.
The various View Books typically hold videos advertising the school, as well as applications to attend Bethel.
The Nursing Graduation CD holds one photograph from 2002.
The 2004 Backups CD contains photos, graphics, catalogs, and other document.
The Brushaber Wentworth CD contains statistics and budgets about Bethel from 2005.
