Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The Audio Reel collection conatins reel to reel audio tapes from Bethel and the Baptist General Conference. They contain sermons, conferences, music, and missionary recordings. Because the archives does not have a playback machine, labels are based on what is written on the boxes, which is often limited.

The six reels from March 5, 1960 appear to be from a homiletics conference, all of which are labeled "Quiggle", the last name of a seminary student.

The missionary series contains reels from missionaries in the field sent to the Baptist General Conference for promotion, especially in churches. Other reels are of preaching by local pastors in the field.

Some of the Missionary reels came from a box with a note from Robert Norstrom to Florence Jacobson reading, "Here are the master tapes used in the preparation of your sound cassettes - and should be kept for reference in case you will re-do them at a later date."
