Scope and Contents
The materials in this collection range primarily from 1993 to 2021 feature events put on by Bethel's Conference and Event Services department.
The Community Life Center files deal with the building of Bethel Great Hall from 1993 to 1995.
The 125th Anniversary file holds materials planning the celebration of Bethel's anniversary in 1996.
The King and Queen Visit file is in its original folder, which has writing on it, and contains documenation of the Swedish royalty's visit to Bethel in 1996.
The Bethel University Celebration took place in 2005, when the College and Seminary became a University.
The CRC Campaign Kick-off and Celebration Binder spans three folders and dates to 2006 and 2008, containing information about building the University Commons.
The Presidential Retirement Binder spans four folders and contains information about George Brushaber's retirement in 2008.
The Presidential Inauguration Binder spans six folders and contains information regarding the inauguration of Jay Barnes as Bethel President in 2009.
The Presidential Retirement folder dates to 2020, when Jay Barnes retired.
The 150th Anniversary folder includes documentation of planning for the celebration in 2021.
The Music Events folders hold mostly programs from Classics in the Great Hall and Jazz in the Great Hall events.
The Bethel Community Celebrations folder holds programs from events held at the end of the academic year for Bethel employees.
The Bethel Favorites recipe book was printed in 2001 and contains recipes submitted by the Bethel community.
Several videos are held on DVD or VHS, are are recordings of special events or celebrations. The Mary Pawlenty CD is a video slideshow featuring Bethel graduate and First Lady to Minnesota.
